Gloria was preceded in death by her parents and three of her siblings; Edith, Joseph and Thomas. She was also preceded in death by Walter Cummins, the father of her three children. Gloria is survived by her siblings Catherine Willis, Leon Annadale, Esther (Lloyd) Willis, James (Beverly) Annadale, David Annadale, Larry Annadale and her three children; Darryl Cummins of Modesto and daughters Darlene Peake and Cathy (Eric) Wainwright of Merced. She also leaves behind four grandchildren; Eric and David Cummins, Danny and Dennis Wainwright and two great grandchildren; Ezra and Cooper Wainwright. Gloria worked at Andrews Air Force Base in the D.C. area before coming to California and working at Castle Air Force Base in Atwater, California, where she was a dedicated and highly devoted government employee. Gloria was the 1992-1993 Merced Woman of the Year. She was also a charter member and officer of the After Five Toastmaster’s Club and the Prime Time Toastmaster’s Club. Her hobbies included going to the gym, swimming and singing in her church choir at Christian Life Center in Merced. She was dedicated in serving her Lord and known for her faithfulness in being a prayer warrior for others. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. A celebration of Gloria’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Christian Life Center in Merced, located at 650 E. Olive Ave., with a reception to immediately follow. Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements. Gloria’s family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Nallasivan Mani, MD, vascular surgeon and cardiologist of Merced; Dr. Theresa Schill, MD; Dr. Brian R. Williams, DC; Dr. David Pilkington MD; the Merced EMT’s and the Merced Cemetery District. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be directed to either the Christian Life Center or one of Gloria’s favorite charities: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Wounded Warriors Project, Paralyzed Veterans of America, March of Dimes, NAMI or the American Heart Association.
