Gloria Victoria Evans, longtime resident of Planada, CA went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ, on Tuesday February 14, 2017, at the age of 87 years old. Gloria resided in Merced County and also Russellville Arkansas.
Predeceased by her daughter, Peggy Lynn Fairbank, son Roger Glenn Evans, granddaughter Jamie Lee Evans and husband Edgar Lee Evans. Brothers Zelodious “Jack” Martin and Cletus “Shorty” Martin.
Survived by Granddaughters Kimberly Bazzar (Frank), Victoria Bann (Wade) Grandsons Justin Evans (Steffani) and Aaron Evans, Great grandchildren Cody Frye, Chad Souza, Calli Souza, Jason Bann, Lyndi Bann, Dylan Bann and Liam Evans. Great-great granddaughter Shayln Frye. Sisters Ruth Minick, Elaine Grice and Barbara Scott.
Gloria was a member of Church of God of Prophecy in London Ark. And has attended Gateway Community Church in Merced, Ca. Gloria was always a devoted Christian woman.
Gloria worked as a cashier at Trabucco’s Market in Mariposa and Lute’s Market in Planada, Ca. She also worked seasonal at the cannery in Planada. Gloria also worked in the cafeteria at Weaver Elementary School and cleaning fish at the Snelling Trout Farm. Her most rewarding job was being a home health care provider to the elderly.
Visitation will be held at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home on Sunday February 19, 2017 from 2 pm to 5 pm. Funeral will be held Monday February 20, 2017 at 2:30 pm at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home located at 1490 B Street, Merced. CA. Burial to follow at Plainsburg Cemetery.
