Esperanza was born on December 18, 1924 in Mesa, Arizona. She later settled in Le Grand, CA, for which she called home. She worked as a seasonal worker and cook, but prided herself as a homemaker and devoted wife & mother. Esperanza found joy and fulfillment in needlepoint, crocheting, and sewing. On any given day you could find her embracing nature and nurturing her cherished garden.
Hope, or “Gramma,” to some, was a spiritual woman who accepted the Lord as her savior. Her gentle soul touched the lives and hearts of others. Her laugh and smile were contagious and lit up any room she entered. Hope displayed a presence of grace and beauty throughout her years on Earth and will now spread her wings with angels in the heaven.
Esperanza was preceded in death by her parents Jose and Felicitas Ochoa and her husband Andrew Espinosa. On Friday the 12th of May, 2017, Esperanza “Hope” Espinosa was lifted into the Lord’s arms at the age of 92.
