Eleanor Martinez (Garcia) of Merced, California was born on March 5, 1930. Eleanor 93 has passed peacefully at her home on November 17, 2023. She worked as a farm laborer all her life.
Eleanor is survived by her children Robert Carlos Martinez (Merced, California) and Sophia Ornelas (Los Banos, California); Sisters Helen Romo (Fresno, California), Celia Moran (San Francisco, California), Evelyn Baker (Merced, California), Charlotte Gallardo (Denair, California) and Irene Garcia (Merced, California); four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Roberto Martinez; parents Petra Garcia and Carlos Garcia; Brother Peter Garcia; and Sister Ester Godoy.
Eleanor was always full of life and loved spending time with her family. Her passion was to sit outside, listen to her music and visit with family, friends and neighbors. She will be truly missed by all.
