Delbert (Keith) Moss entered Heaven at the age of 88 on January 13, 2025, in Merced, Ca. Keith was born in Crowl Mt, AR. to Delbert and Florence Moss. He was one of thirteen children. At the age of eight Keith’s family moved to Chowchilla, Ca., where later he and his brothers started Moss Hay. One thing instilled in Keith at an early age was his work ethic. All three of Keith’s sons at some point worked in the hay business. Keith was the happiest in his retriever with a load of hay headed to the hills, unfortunately when Keith’s eyesight started failing, he could no longer drive, he was content riding in the passenger seat and stopping at coffee shops. Keith Moss Hay will continue rolling through the hills with his son Lonnie Moss alongside Cameron and Ashton Jantz, who Keith considered his grandsons.
Keith is survived by his sons Michael Moss and Lonnie Moss. Daughter Lori Burdin, adopted daughter Kimber Moss and daughter in law Linda Moss. Brother Lester Moss, sisters Coleen Moss, Bethel Barker and LaDonna Moss.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Delbert Moss; brothers, Paul, Delwin, Duane, Donald and Arvil; and sisters, Aletha and Ellen Moss.
Keith also is survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and close friends.
Services for Keith are Monday, January 27, 2025 at New Hope Church Merced 2150 Cherry Ave, Merced, Ca. 95341
A gathering will be held at Italo American Lodge 1351 W, 18th Street Merced, Ca. 95340.
