Anthony Roberts

Anthony Roberts, age 68, passed away in Le Grand, CA on Saturday January 14, 2023. He was born on March 10, 1954 in Oroville, Butte County to Dave Roberts and Effie Isaac. He was a Le Grand High School graduate. He worked at Lutes Market and Merced Milling in Planada for many of his younger years. Later he worked at the Le Grand Mill and Pursley’s Almond Ranch. He was well known for his Monte Carlo and cursing through the streets of Planada. In his younger years he enjoyed playing sports. He loved listening to oldies and dancing the moonwalk. His favorite dish to cook was fried chicken. He was a hard working man who loved his family.

He is survived by his mom Effie Finney, two brothers James Madearis and Dave Roberts. His life partner Kelly Perez, daughter Kassandra Zavala her husband David Zavala. His step-daughter Kristy Maldonado her fiancé Feliciano Medina and a son Kyle. Along with five grandkids, Hayden, Kylee and Mason Maldonado, David and Noah Zavala. Also with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his dad Dave Roberts and brother Michael Walker.

A visitation for Anthony will be held Monday, January 30, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, Merced, California. A funeral service will occur Monday, January 30, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, Merced, California. An interment will occur Monday, January 30, 2023 at 1:30 PM at Plainsburg Cemetery, Merced, California.
