William “Bill” Seel, age 88, of Sun City, California has been born to eternal life on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. Bill was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan, then moved with his family to the Chicago area where he spent the rest of his childhood. He proudly enlisted with the Navy and served our country for four years ranking as Quarter Master. Following his service in 1955, Bill returned to Benton Harbor, married Lynetta Rushing and raised 3 sons. Bill worked as an Industrial Engineer which took he and his family to Georgia, back to Michigan, then the Milwaukee, WI area. Bill and Lynetta divorced in 1980.
On July 17, 1982, Bill and Delores were married in Milwaukee and combined two beautiful families. Bill embraced his two stepsons and stepdaughter and cherished the time he and Delores spent with their family as it grew beyond children, to grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Bill and Delores spent all the time they could at their place on Little Green Lake in Wisconsin where they had endearing friends and loved to make memories there with their family over the twenty years they owned it. In 2007, Bill and Delores moved to Sun City, California to spend more time with family there and enjoy the area they both loved to visit.
Bill loved spending time with his family and was very involved with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan for which he proudly endured consistent abuse while living in Packer and Brewers country. He also enjoyed watching sports, taking day trips, traveling to California prior to moving there, and their annual October trip to West Virginia to visit his sister-in-law and family. He was involved with his church and volunteered for the Riverside County Crime Watch program. He was active in American Legion Post 595, loved his country and was a true Patriot. Bill made friends almost everywhere he went and if you couldn’t find him, follow the laughter and chuckles, he’s probably the source… he had a phrase for almost anything.
Bill is survived by his wife of 40 years, Delores; sons, Darrell (Debra) Seel, David (Cindy) Seel, Doug Seel; step-son, Keith (Karen) Pierce; step-daughter, Kelly (Miguel) Sierra; sister-in-law, Elaine Wilson; grandchildren, Ricardo Sierra, Nathan Durbin, Jason Seel, Jonathan (Erin) Seel, Hollyann Job, Dahlton (Sydney) Seel, Delaney (Ivan) Gutierrez, Kristin Pierce, Kyle (Kelsi) Pierce, Kelsey (Aaron) Bishop, Isaac Pierce, Benjamin Pierce, Sara (Jason) Refsland; Great grandchildren, Kennedi, Caden, Clayton, Savannah, Kenzie, Ava, Everly, Layla, Karli, Cayson, Jayden, Jace, Jordan, Ivy, Arya, Quentyn, Luna, Wander, Remi, Karli, Carson; nephews, Pat and Alex, and many other friends and family.
