Santiago Sanchez Sanchez

April 02 1961- July 07 2022

A great man was taken from us way to soon. Even while battling Stage IV Lung Cancer, he was still the most uplifting and positive person you would ever come across. He was full of life and determined to live it like it was his last. Ultimately, at the age of 61 he succumbed to Heart Failure.

Our father was a man that wore many hats and had many accomplishments. If you were to ask him what his greatest and proudest accomplishments were; it wouldn’t be his career, being a coach, or anything of monetary value. He would tell you that his greatest accomplishment was his FAMILY. Even more so being an amazing grandfather, “Papa” to all his grandchildren.

Our dad met our mother, Maria when she was a sophomore at Artesia High School. For him it was love at first sight. Not so much for our mom.  Finally, after 2 years he convinced her to go out with him. Their love grew and expanded to having 4 children: Daisy, Michael, Edward, & Crystal. He was also fortunate enough to be involved in all 10 of his grandchildren’s life for the last 17 years.

He is survived by his Wife/Best friend of 40 years, his 4 children, 10 grandchildren, his mother, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. He also leaves behind extended family, friends, and everyone else whose life he touched in one way or another.
