Sandra was born in Belize City, Belize, on April 15, 1951. She was the daughter of Robert Theophilus Anderson and Daisy Dyer. In 1971, Sandra migrated to the U.S. with then husband, Oliver Sylvester Vaughan, and children, Deborah and Stephen. Later, they were blessed with the birth and life of their third child, Taekisha, in 1975. Sandra was also blessed with the birth and life of her fourth child, Julissa, in 1989. In November 2019, she embarked on her second marriage.
Sandra earned an Associates in Dietary Management from Malcolm X. College in Chicago, IL, and a B.S. and M.S. in Gerontology from Grand Canyon University. Sandra worked in the medical field for over 30 years, impacting and blessing the lives of many.
She is survived by three children, Deborah, Stephen, and Taekisha; eight grandchildren, Jasmynn, Robert, Cassandra, Bethany, Sarah, Brandon, Adam, and DaKari; four great grandchildren, Joneven Julien,Tiara, Jaslynn, and Arya; and a number of beloved nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her siblings, Cheryl, Glenford, Alvarie, Paul, Lyndon, Gina, Yona, and Kimberly. Sandra is preceded in death by her sisters Rose, Alice, Margaret, and Shelly May; brother Gilbert; daughter Julissa; mother Daisy Dyer; and father, Robert Theophilus Anderson.
