Hey Mason,

Been a while. Anything new going up with you? I was in New York for a week visiting some people. Cold as hell, but I liked it. The halal food was so good. I wish I could show you the pictures I took. I got some nice ones with this new instant camera I got for Christmas. 

Life isn’t too bad. I’m getting my pilot license right now. Isn’t that crazy? You’d never think in a million years, but here we are.

I wish I could take you with me right now. So much has changed these last few years since you left. When I close my eyes, it feels like I’m sitting with you in your car as we grabbed McDonald’s and went to that one weird renaissance fair. We didn’t even go inside. Tickets were 40 bucks a person, and we were just watching everything from outside. Good times.
 
I’m glad I can think of you. Whenever I do, it makes me feel less lonely and isolated from the world. Speaking of, the world has only gotten worse since you left. I’m a bit glad you don’t have to live through this BS. It’s sucks so much. I don’t even want to go into it all.

Why did you have to go? There was still so much we never got to do. I think about calling you and hoping you'd pick up, but I stop knowing that you're not there anymore. It's not fair.

Even though you’re no longer on this earth with us you’re still walking with us in our hearts and we will always celebrate you on your special day ❤️ We miss you tremendously, Mason!

It's been months since the day I found out you died. Not a day has gone by when I haven't thought of you. Our friendship wasn't perfect. Some things we did wrong, and other things we did really right. Yet, despite everything, we held together for years. Just something clicked between the two of us, and despite how different we were, we were friends. 

Ever since that night, when you asked me for a place to stay. I remembered you calling me. When you showed up to my door, you had nothing but your suitcase on you. You didn't have anywhere else to go, and I let you stay with me for the night. The day after we thought it would be fun to go into town. I remember taking you to my favourite restaurant in chinatown, us walking around the whole city, eating good food, riding the bus, and talking. It was one of the happiest moments of my life. I remember how happy you were that night when we took the muni back to my place. 

Six years of our lives. Of the 25 years I have existed for, six years was enough for you to change my whole life. I only wish I could've seen you one last time.  I wish I could apologize to you for how I acted sometimes. 

I'm always going to remember you. Until the day I grow old, I'm always going to remember you. Until the day I die, I'm always going to remember you.

Our dental office recently had the pleasure to meet Mason, a very pleasant and sweet young man. 
We would like to send a thought of comfort and condolences to the grieving family. 


Mr. Young... you were and will always be the inspiration I told you, you were. Our conversation in the vehicle on our way to one of your first Transport calls was very inspiring to me when you opened up to me. You let me know that you appreciated knowing that I appreciated you. I will continue to have hope and inspiration for my daughter because of you. You were an AWESOME asset to the team Sir and may you Rest Well ... Until we meet again!

Auntie: Did he ever let you know I loved and wanted to borrow the Black SUV he drove to work on the rainy days?  You are all in our daily thoughts, even after it's all said and done. Do not hesitate to reach out to us if you need.  ~Supervisor Ms. Cooley

My sincerest condolences to all that love Mason. He will be greatly missed by all those who had the honor of knowing him.  

Mason, in the short time I worked along side you, I was amazed to watch you work. You were thorough, caring, passionate, and always so willing to offer your help or your thoughts. Every time I saw you, you were always smiling especially when you were around those you cared about. I cherish all that you gave and will miss you and the light you brought to our workplace. 

While I only knew Mason for a short time I was instantly drawn to him, he had such a magnetic personality it was nearly impossible to not be befriend him. He always managed to make me smile with his random facts and tidbits, I can still vividly hear in my head telling me all about how the  red-bull logo came about. I could listen to him talk forever about whatever topic he wanted, he was always so animated and passionate about everything. Even our simplest conversations  left a smile on my face. Mason always reminded me of the kindness that was possible in the world , his generosity and attention to such mundane details never made me felt skipped over or forgotten. He would always go out of his way to make sure everyone felt included and I deeply admire that about him. I know I’ll see him in everyone I meet from now on and I’m so grateful to be able to forever carry a little piece of him with me. Goodbye for now Mason. 🩶

Mason and I instantly clicked. We would always have something to talk about whether it was just jokes with laughs or serious with tears, we would always be comfortable enough to be our true selves with zero judgement. He always had a random fact about any and every topic I threw at him. Even on days where I was feeling down, he always knew what to say to make me smile and feel better. I told him once that I felt like he was meant to be in my life and I still believe that. Getting to know him was the greatest and most special gift that I didn’t know I needed. I wish our time was not cut short, but I know that the memories I have with him will live forever and I will always talk about him and his beautiful, kind, and genuine soul that was taken too soon. I hope he knew how much he was loved and what a bright light he was to all who met him. Because of the great impact Mason had on me, I wake up to birds singing and I know it’s him waking me up and asking me to listen. I feel the words to songs so much deeper now, especially the ones we would listen to together. I see him in every butterfly that passes me by and I know he’s around when I see even the tiniest little lady bug. I’ll never forget him and I will always be thankful that I had the privilege to meet Mason Xavier Young. <3

Mason was such an asset to our care center team , he was very attentive to details , hard worker and a fast learner.  Mason will truly be missed on the Miller-Jones care center team. 

Our friendship only began a few months ago but it felt like it started an eternity ago.  As I began to get to know you, I learned what I loved about you most. Your kind heart, intelligent mind, quick witted jokes, and amazing attitude to show up wherever you go and give it your all. That’s what you did, Mason. No matter where you went you were the most helpful person in the room. You are truly a one of a kind person and I am the most grateful to have known someone like you. Thanks for all the laughs and for being someone I felt like I could turn to when I needed some to listen to what I had to say. I miss you so much already. Someone so special like you will never be forgotten. I’ll look for
you in the stars. Until next time! ❤️

Mason always had a contagious big ol smile. I didn't get the privilege of really getting to know him, but he always lit up the room and was looking to help out everyone he could. In the short time I've spent with him, I could tell that he is loved dearly and put effort into letting everyone know that he loved them too. Rest easy, kid.
