breast cancer.
Judy was born in Boulder, Colorado to Theda and Harvey Kellner. After graduating from La Junta High School in 1960, she went on to study at Otero Junior College where she met her lifelong love, John. They married in November of 1961 and her career as a football coach’s wife began. Along the way, Judy also worked in various industries such as government, car dealerships and insurance. Outside of her love for supporting her family, her other true passion was fashion. She studied fashion a bit in school, and continued to build on her natural gift working at Stretch and Sew and sewing/designing for her family over the years. She was also a gifted artist, dancing when she was younger, and sharing her watercolor painting talents later in life.
Heather, Deanne and Teresa were blessed to have Judy as a mother, with her patience, love
and support. She was also the best "Grammy" to her eight grandchildren -- Tyler, Amannda,
Catie, Mackenzie, Zachary, Timothy, Corinne and Isabel-- and two great-grandchildren-- Maya
and Sona. We all have many fond memories and laughter shared with her over the years.
The family will have a private blessing in Menifee and then a celebration of life
in San Jose, CA before her final resting place in Ft. Collins, CO.
Instead of flowers or gifts, Judy’s family would rather donations be made to a breast cancer or
hospice charity of your choosing.
