When he was only 14, he fell in love with Julie, the love of his life and high school sweetheart. They married in 1971 and had 4 beautiful children, Brandy, Jamie, Courtney and Cody. Jim and Julie had a long, loving marriage for 52 wonderful years.
He accepted the Lord as his savior in 1983 and was baptized in Corona Del Mar by Pastor Chuck Smith of Calvary Chapel. And just like Jesus, he was a carpenter by profession in which he labored hard for his family for more than 40 years.
He loved to play the guitar, bowl, study prophecy, and tell funny stories to make his grandchildren laugh. He was quiet and compassionate but when he spoke, his words were meaningful and heart-felt.
His family and faith were the most important things to him. He would read the bible every night and prayed always for his children and grandchildren. He is survived by, his wife, 4 children, 11 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and 2 sisters.
He left behind a great example of what a godly man should be. Though he will be missed dearly, we are rejoicing with the angels and saints in heaven as another child of God has made it home to his Heavenly Father.
