James Ray Whiten Jr.

James Ray Whiten Jr. affectionately known as Ray, died on September 10, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Annette Whiten of 17 years and best friend of over 35 years, his six children Brandon James Whiten, his daughter-in-law Rachel Whiten and his granddaughter Stella Whiten and grandson Theodore James Whiten. Jarrel James Whiten, Aaron James Whiten, Jordan Ray Whiten, Hunter Anthony Franks, Thomas R Hollington III, his daughter-in-law Colleen Hollington, his grandson Thomas R Hollington IV and his grandson Luciano J. Hollington. Unfortunately, we lost his son James Ray Whiten III on July 14, 2022.

He is also survived by his brother Wayne, sister Darnesha and niece Kaidyn Carter. Including countless family and friends from New York to California.

Ray started working for Scripps Hospital in September of 2013. He loved his job and got up every morning, put on his shirt and tie to go to the hospital to represent the “IT” department. If Ray wasn’t with his family, you could always find him in his garage working on “something”. He enjoyed his car club Immaculate Stylz, which of course he joined with his motorcycle.

At the end of the day, he was the happiest being with his family and especially his grandbabies.
