Dorothy Mae (Draeger) Nichols, age 91, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at her home with her loving family around her. She was born on June 22, 1922 in Tigerton, daughter of the late Herman and Irene (Goerlinger) Draeger. She attended St. Rose Catholic School and Clintonville High School. Dorothy moved to Chicago and worked for Montgomery Ward. She met her husband, Charles in Chicago. They were married on September 13, 1947. Their marriage was blessed with seven children. Dorothy enjoyed playing cards, trips to the casino and time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, of 66 years, Charles. Their seven children: Margaret (Terry) Engelhardt, Kathleen (Frank) Nowak, Daniel (Sue) Nichols, Michael (Janet) Nichols, Barbara (Tom) Wilson, Patrick (Lynn) Nichols and Mark Nichols; 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and one brother, William H. Draeger of Minocqua; a niece and nephew, numerous cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Patricia Draeger and Magdelene Draeger, and sister-in-law, Ceone Draeger.
Funeral Liturgy will be at 11:30 am on Friday, May 30, 2014, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 516 De Pere Street, Menasha; with Father Paul Paider officiating. Friends and family may visit at the CHURCH from 10:00 am until the time of mass. Private interment will take place at St. John Catholic Cemetery, Menasha,
