William Arnold Heine, 88, died in Nov. 8, 2015, at home in Memphis. A graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Nov. 13 at Lake Lawn Funeral Home, New Orleans.
Survivors include his wife, Miriam Tassin Heine, a son and daughter-in-law, Max and Edie Heine, Northport, Ala., a daughter and son-in-law. Marilyn and Rob Lowers, Wilmington, N.C.; five grandchildren, Kyle Lowers, Aaron Heine, Ben Heine, Connor Heine and Dustin Heine; and three great-grandchildren, Aiden Heine, Evan Heine and Collin Heine.
Heine, a graduate of Tulane University, played trumpet in the school band. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving as a radar technician on the U.S.S. Tarawa in the Korean War. After a long sales career with Texaco, he worked in accounting with the IRS. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Mr. Heine may be offered to the charity of the donor’s choice
