William Clarence Anthony, Jr. 88, of Memphis went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Signature Healthcare. Mr. Anthony was a Baptist and a WWII Army veteran. He was a supervisor for 39 years at Memphis Furniture Company. Mr. Anthony is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lenora Anthony; his three sons, Wayne Anthony (Janice) of Olive Branch, MS; Larry Anthony (Kellye); and Ronnie Anthony (Sandra) both of Arlington; his brother Charles Anthony (Lorene) of Memphis; 9 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. He was a kind man who will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens Poplar Chapel on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 from Noon – 2. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 at the Funeral Home. Interment will be at Magnolia Cemetery in Collierville, TN. The family requests that memorials be sent to Baptist Children’s Home.
