Wales Blaine Beaty, age 88, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022. He was born on November 12, 1933 in Jamestown, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Winsted W. and Roxie Bicknell Beaty.
Wales graduated from Alvin C. York Institute, Jamestown, and attended the University of Memphis. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force in the United States and Europe. His last tour of duty was with the 389th Fighter Bomber Squadron. Wales retired from IBM in 1993 after 25 years. He was a faithful servant of Bellevue Baptist Church for more than 50 years. He was a generous and loving husband, brother, and uncle.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 69 years, Joan W. Carver Beaty of Memphis, TN; his sister, Carmen Beaty Atkins of Nashville, TN; his brother, Gary and wife, Marte Beaty of Nashville, TN; his brother-in-law, Danny Carver and wife, Doris of Memphis,TN; his sister-in-law, Patricia Carver Harrison and husband, Sam of Houston,TX; many nieces, nephews and his faithful companion, Buddy.
The committal service for Wales will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 1:00 PM until 1:30 PM at West Tennessee State Veteran Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Rd., Memphis, TN 38125.
