Virginia Marie Bast Harper, is resting in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ. Born in Memphis on July 29, 1930 to Leonard and Vesta Bast. Virginia was married to William Harper and they raised three children. They were long-standing members of Balmoral Baptist Church.
Virginia served her Lord well retiring from Central Church daycare where she loved teaching children about Jesus. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William, daughters Rachel, Carol, and granddaughter Hannah.
She is survived by son Darin, grandsons Christian Harper and Michael Corbett, and granddaughter Lauren (Andy) Martin, and great grandsons Hayden, Luke, and Liam Martin.
A visitation for Virginia will be held Friday, February 2, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. A funeral will occur Friday, February 2, 2024 at 2:00 PM 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. A committal will follow at Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38119.
