Venita Adams Roberson, 87, of Memphis, passed away February 22, 2011 at Primacy Health Care. Born in Jackson County, Arkansas, she was a graduate of Swifton High School (Ark.) and never lost her enjoyment of learning. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Paul Roberson. Survivors include two daughters, Paula Roberson of Little Rock, AR, and Maureen (Mac) Pickle of Morristown, TN; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Roberson of Little Rock, AR, Kyle Pickle of Maryville, TN, and Kathryn Pickle of Morristown, TN; one brother, James Adams of Dallas, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Poplar Avenue, followed by a memorial service at 11:00.
