I wanted to write and express my sympathy for your unimaginable loss.  I live in NH and did  not know Tyre or anyone in your family, but his story has moved me so, so deeply.  I've been teary, mourning your son and feeling so much anger at  his loss to your family.  Tyre was so young and handsome, and an amazing skateboarder!  What I've read has so impressed me about Tyre; his kindness, boyish charm, and his deep love for his mother.   I wish your family continued strength after the horror of the last few months and know that I'm praying for the mom he adored, praying for Justice For Tyre, and for a time in our nation where young men who look like Tyre are no longer targets of law enforcement. I have no doubt that Tyre could light up a room and make people feel good in his presence.

I have only been this heartbroken for somehow l didn’t know once before. That was when l read the Diary of Anne Frank for the first time as a young girl. I hope you don’t think l am presumptuous by saying l  understand little bit about how talented Tyre was. I have been looking at his website and the sunsets are just breathtaking. The job is no longer in business my husband is now at corky's in olive branch. This shows he's a beautiful soul.we were strangers he helped us. If he's buried in Memphis let me know. He had an assignment for you as a mother and tyre as your son. You did what GOD asked of you. You created a youngman of character strength respect and dignity.

As a mother myself I cannot even begin to imagine the depth of your loss and the depth of your grief.  My grandsons laugh when I call my son (6'8" and 53 years old) my baby, but they are always our babies.

From what we've all learned about Tyre he seems like a joyful, gentle, caring soul.  That's who you raised and guided into adulthood.  What a loss for his son, to not grow up guided by such a father.

I imagine Tyre building a giant skate park in heaven for all the young people (or young at heart) who are gone too soon.
