Trudy Ann Noyes

Trudy Ann Noyes, 65, passed away April 11, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 16 from 12:30 p.m. until the service begins at 2 p.m. at Buntyn Presbyterian Church 561 S. Prescott Street, where she was a lifelong member, with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Trudy was a graduate of Messick High School and Memphis State University. She retired after 22 years from International Paper as Administrative Assistant. Trudy was a member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP), the former Parliamentarian and held other numerous offices during her 30+ years of membership. She was the former Parliamentarian of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority, receiving only days ago the Outstanding Alumna Award. Trudy was not only a HUGE U of M fan but a member of the University of Memphis Rebounders and the Liberty Bowl Association. She had many enjoyments in life some of them being Bridge Clubs, Traveling, Ice Skating spectator, and Volunteering at St. Jude. She was the past queen of the Shelbi Cotton Carnival Society. Preceded in death by her parents Frances and Melvin Layer, she is survived by her aunt and uncle, Ann and Alvin Yancey, cousin Alan Yancey and his wife Debbie and daughter Amanda. The family requests that memorials be sent to Buntyn Presbyterian Church, 561 S. Prescott Street, Memphis, TN 38111 or the charity of choice.
