Born on July 24, 1954, in Somerville, TN, Tommy was the son of Pauline Earnheart Williams and Austin Hayden Williams Sr.
Tommy is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Mary, and their two sons, Garron and Cooper. He was a cherished brother to Gary Williams (Christine) and Paula "Kay" Bumpas (Danny). He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Austin Hayden Williams Jr.
Tommy was a proud Memphis native who embraced his city with passion and dedication. He received his education at Overton High School and later pursued his studies at the University of Memphis. Tommy's commitment to sports and coaching was evident throughout his life. For over two decades, he dedicated his time to coaching youth baseball within the Memphis Tigers Organization, positively impacting the lives of countless young athletes. His influence extended to Christian Brothers High School, where he served as a baseball coach for over eight years, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of his players.
In addition to his love for sports, Tommy enjoyed a successful career in trucking logistics, spanning multiple decades. His strong work ethic and attention to detail made him a valued and respected professional in his field.
Beyond his professional achievements, Tommy will be remembered for his warm personality, his sense of humor, and his unwavering devotion to his family and friends. He had an infectious smile and a generous spirit that touched the lives of all who knew him.
The memories of Tommy will forever be cherished by his family, friends, colleagues, and the countless lives he touched throughout his life. He leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and passion that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Tommy's life Thursday, May 25, beginning at 1:00 p.m. until memorial services begin at 2:30 p.m. all at Hope Church, 8500 Walnut Grove Road, Cordova, Tennessee 38018. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Collierville, Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to Memphis Boys Athletic Association, as Tommy was a strong advocate for their mission.
