Thomas F. Kinsella III
July 22, 1949 – November 5, 2017
Thomas Francis Kinsella III, 68, of Olive Branch, MS, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the MS State Veterans Home in Oxford, MS following a long battle with Muscular Dystrophy and Alzheimer's.
Born and raised in Memphis, TN, the son of Thomas and Juanita (Dossette) Kinsella, Tom attended Holy Rosary Elementary and graduated from Catholic High School in 1968. In 1974, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Tom met his wife, Kay, in 1977 and in they were married on May 2, 1979. After completing his service in the Air Force, he began his career as an accountant which he retired from in 2009 at Quebecor Inc. Tom loved attending Great Commission Church (GCC) where he was baptized in 2008. As a member of GCC he memorized the entire book of Philippians and traveled to Brazil on a mission trip.
He was predeceased in death by his parents, Thomas F. Kinsella and Juanita (Dossette) Kinsella; as well as his sister, Kathy (Kinsella) Archer.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Leah Kay (Gargus) Kinsella; his children, Chris Lockhart, Jennifer (Kinsella) Blackwell, and Joseph Kinsella; his sister, Paula (Kinsella) Pyle; five grandchildren, two nieces, and one nephew.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to CWC, Halcyon Hospice, and all the staff at the MS State Veterans Home in Oxford, MS, specifically those in "B Hall" for their attentiveness and loving care.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on November 10, 2017 at Great Commission Church in Olive Branch, MS. Funeral services will held at 10:00 a.m. on November 11, 2017 at Great Commission Church in Olive Branch, MS. Graveside service will immediately follow at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in Bartlett, TN. Arrangements are being handled by Family Funeral Care, 901-761-8000.
