Memphis, TN- Thomas Wayne Daley passed away on December 31, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janice Daley (nee Ball); his daughter, Shannon (Ted) Smith; his grandson, Dillon Wayne Smith; his step-grandsons Thomas and Nick Smith; his sister Martha Kessel; and his brother William (Carlene) Daley; preceded in death by brother John (Joyce) Daley and Joe (Doris) Daley. Tom spent his working life in education, education administration, and coaching: in Kentucky, at Morehead State University, Eastern Kentucky University, Dayton High School, the Kentucky Department of Education, and Gallatin County Schools; and in Georgia, at Athens Christian School. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves at Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was an alumnus of Ludlow High School and a member of the Ludlow and Northern Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame. He was a devoted family man who loved spending time with his loved ones, hunting, fishing, and gardening.
