Theresa G. Wheat, 82, of Memphis, passed away March 2, 2011 at Methodist University Hospital. She was a communicant of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Olive Branch, and had retired as an administrative assistant from the Kroger Company. She was preceded in death by her husband, Deering Wheat. Survivors include three daughters, Lucinda (Johnny) Shaw of Olive Branch, Linda Jones and Michele Head, both of Colleyville, Texas; three grandchildren, Mitchell Shaw, Alicia Head, and Taylor Jones; one great grandson, Rylan Shaw; and a brother, Caesar Garavelli of Memphis. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 5599 Poplar Avenue. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
