Thelma Ward Pigue, 90, of Memphis, passed away Thursday June 5, 2014 in Southaven, MS, at her daughter’s home. Ms. Pigue was a member of the former Speedway Terrace Baptist Church in Memphis for over 50 years. She was a former employee of McLaurin’s Bakery on Highland and was retired from the former Wild Oats Market where she worked until she was 81. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sallie Sanders, as well as several special friends. Ms. Pigue is survived by her daughter, Blenda R. Candler of Southaven, MS and her son, Charles P. Pigue, of Memphis. She also leaves to cherish her memory, two granddaughters, Ginger Winn and Lori Mouser, three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Special Thanks to Dr. David Sharfman, Dr. Glenn Williams, and Dr. Thomas Wood for their excellent care over the years. Visitation will be held Saturday June 7, 2014 from 2-3pm with the funeral service following at 3pm all at Family Funeral Care. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens.
