Thelma Borer Blanton, 92, of Collierville, passed away February 19, 2011, at her home. She was a member of Collierville United Methodist Church and a retired secretary with the Memphis City Schools. Mrs. Blanton, the widow of Jewell Blanton, is survived by her son, Roger Blanton of Memphis, daughter, Patti Tandy and her husband, Tom, of Collierville, grandchildren, Shea Tandy and Paige Wages and 4 great-grandchildren. She also leaves a niece, Barbara Ball and 3 nephews, Bobby, Billy and Barre Borer. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 22, at 10 a.m. with the service to follow at 11 a.m. all at Collierville United Methodist Church on the Square. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum. Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Church on the Square Restoration Fund.
