Silvia Linda Kuhlo of Memphis, Tennessee, died peacefully surrounded by her family on January 5, 2023. Blessings come in many ways, and one of the many blessings she left was her family. She was born in Greenwood, Mississippi, on December 12, 1937. Linda was the wife of the late Lee Carlton Kuhlo, Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Dewitt Ratliff and Inez Taylor Ratliff, and by her siblings, William Charles Ratliff, John David Ratliff, Barney Ray Ratliff, Kenny Phil Ratliff, Rebecca Ratliff Clark, and Sandra Jane Taylor.
Linda’s fun-loving personality was displayed throughout her life whether it was traveling, spending time at the lake with her family, having dinner with family and friends, or enjoying time with her grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her three children: Lee Carlton Kuhlo, Jr. (Cheryl) of Tallahassee, Vicki Kuhlo Lawrence (Steve) of Memphis, and Albert Christopher Kuhlo (Elizabeth) of Memphis. She will be greatly missed by her six grandchildren: Carlton Kuhlo Warren, Will Owen Kuhlo, Christopher Carlton Kuhlo, Charles Clayton Kuhlo, Andrew Wilsford Kuhlo, and Reese Taylor Lawrence. She is also survived by her sisters, Ellen Ratliff Douglas and Marcia Ratliff Brasel.
There will be a visitation at 11:45 and funeral service on Thursday January 19th, 2023, at 12:30 pm at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave 38122. Following the service, the burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Road, Memphis, TN 38125.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
