Steve Wilson

Jerry Stephen "Steve" Wilson, age 57, died February 5, 2016. Steve died after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer. He made friends easily and kept staff and patients "entertained" while receiving chemo treatments at West Clinic-Union. Steve was born September 26, 1958, in Little Rock, AR. He grew up in Memphis, TN, graduating from Towering Oaks Academy. He was preceded in death by his wife (Vicki) of 20 years and his father, General G. Wilson. He is survived by his mother, Geneva Wilson Loper of Memphis, TN, brothers Allen Wilson (Valerie) and niece Ashley Beaver of Southaven, MS, brother Keith Wilson (Krista) and nephew Knox Wilson and niece Kate Wilson of Sachse, TX. He also leaves Cindy Hooker, a very dear friend. Steve was an avid bowler for many years, bowling three 300 games. He also enjoyed playing Putt-Putt.

Visitation is Monday, February 8, 2016, 1 – 2 p.m. at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Avenue, Memphis, TN with memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Wings Foundation, West Cancer Center, 1588 Union Avenue, Memphis, TN, 38104 or to a charity of your choice.
