Sandra Sandra (Sandi) Jean Russell, 78, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.was born on February 28, 1945, in Memphis, TN. On December 12, 1963, she married James C Russell. They had one daughter, Sherry Lynn Russell Shaffer.
Sandra was working in insurance at Federal Express when she retired. She retired to continue spoiling her two grandchildren and pursuing her hobbies of working on ancestry and scrapbooking.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Bessie Armour, her brother, Dorv Armour and her husband, James C. Russell, of 58 years. She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Lynn Shaffer, her two grandchildren, MiKayla E. Shaffer and Benjamin J. Shaffer, and one sister, Andre Armour.

A funeral service will occur Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. A committal service will occur Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Elmwood Cemetery, 824 S Dudley St, Memphis, TN 38104.
