Ryan Nicholas Coleman, 24, arrived into our lives on June 16, 1996. He departed into the waiting arms of The Father on November 8, 2020, after a tragic car accident. He leaves his mother and father, Thomas & Charlene Coleman; older brother, Taylor Coleman; grandparents, Ersia Wilson and William Wilson; aunt and uncle, Lana & Forrest Luster; cousins, Elliott & Logan; very special family friend, Curt Stephens, as well as numerous great-aunts and uncles (of whom each was his favorite), cousins, friends and acquaintances. We are heartbroken, but we rejoice in knowing that Ryan is HOME.
A few years ago, Ryan hit a rough patch. His journey was difficult and he resisted any and all efforts to turn his life around. A prayer chain, which included family, friends, members of Hope Presbyterian Church, Cathedral of Praise and First Assembly of God, was established. Ryan entered Memphis Adult Teen Challenge where he started to become the man he was today. God was always there and Ryan finally took His Hand which culminated in his baptism on August 14, 2016.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone; the new has come!”
Ryan had become a mentor to those from the ages of 6 to 96. His passion was always anything computer-related which led him to an internship with Lowe’s (he had been invited back for their Summer 2021 Internship) and instructor positions with CodeCrew and Hutchison School (those Honeybees held a special place in his heart!) We have been blessed to receive prayers and messages of comfort, most of which included why Ryan was special to them.
