Ruth Lillian Watkins, 96, died December 5, 2014. Born October 8, 1918 in Springhill, Arkansas to Walter Garrett and Maud Love. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Eugene, and one great grandson. Survived by daughters Kimble McTyre and Geneva Stroud, sister Dorothy Foster, grandchildren John McTyre (Carolyn), Ben McTyre (Amanda), David McTyre, Walter McTyre (Carol), Samuel McTyre, Sarah Nail (John), Morgan Stroud (Gretchen), and 11 great- grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Friday, December 12, at noon at Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery, Greenbrier, Arkansas. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
