Robert Max D Maxwell

Robert Dwight “Max” Maxwell, 81 died on Thursday peacefully in Nashville, TN. Mr. Maxwell was a native Memphian and Korean War Veteran of the 196th Field Artillery. He leaves his wife of 63 years, Dorothy N. Maxwell, a son Shawn Maxwell of Nashville, TN and a daughter Ruth Ann Johnson of Rio Vista, CA. Four Grandchildren, Robyn Johnson, Whitney Maxwell, Shelby Maxwell, and Zachary Maxwell. He also leaves a brother, James Maxwell of Atlanta and two sisters, Becky Trafford and Melba Strong both of Memphis. Mr. Maxwell was a member of Cherokee Baptist Church in Memphis for over 50 Years. He was a loving husband and father, and was a retired Independent Contractor. Memphis Funeral Home has charge. Visitation will be held at Memphis Funeral Home on Sunday, August 28th at 1:00 PM, followed by a 2:00 PM Service at Memorial Park Cemetery.
