Robert Knox Ligon Sr. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 18, 2017. Bob was born in Okolona, MS on September 18, 1927. He served in the navy in WWII and had a long career in finance and real estate. In later years, he enjoyed ownership of the Tenn. Driving School and had a passion for teaching kids to drive and weekends at the lake.
Bob is survived by his wife, Rachel, of 38 years; two sons, Robert (Cindy) Ligon Jr., David Ligon; two daughters, Barbara (Robert) Noe, Susanne (John) Terry; three step sons, Don (Betty) Keltner, Jake (Janet) Scott, Mike Thomas; and one step-daughter, Renee Graham. He also leaves 19 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
