Robert J. "Bob" Irby, born January 24, 1920 in Roswell, NM, passed away September 3, 2010 in Little Rock, AR. Bob retired from Black & Decker as service manager after 42 years. He also was a newspaper carrier for the Commercial Appeal for several years. Survivors are his wife, Ada Irby, and four children, Robert Irby, Jr. (Naddine) of Mt. Pleasant, MS, Jim Irby of Brentwood, TN, Joe Irby of Memphis, stepdaughter, Glenda Gilbreath Berry (Bob) of Maumelle, AR; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 7, beginning at 1 p.m. followed by the service at 2 p.m. all at Memphis Funeral and Memorial Gardens, Poplar Avenue.
