My deepest condolences to Remell's family. Remell was one of the kindest and most thoughtful members of the Carver Class of 1965. She never failed to send me a Christmas card or to remember my birthday which is also in December. She didn't just send a Christmas card and include Happy Birthday inside. It was always so special to me to receive two cards at different times. I remember when my husband passed and she sent me a sympathy card with a book of stamps inside. How thoughtful is that?  Then there were the times I'd go to the mailbox and find a "Thinking of You"  card with a little present inside. She would also call periodically to check on me and share what was going on with her children and grandchildren.  She never complained about what she was going through.  Remell always had a spirit of acceptance and the knowledge that she was in God's hands.  I will miss her.  A classmate,   Everlina Hammond Hull.  Class of '65

It’s hard to say goodbye to a good friend you’ve known since childhood. Remell and I grew up in walking distance  of each other’s house.  We shared many secrets and memories. But, there is one thing Remell “didn’t”  keep secret and that is she loved her some Robert Hobbs, the man of her dreams and the man who had the honor of being her husband!!
Remell was also one of my prayer partners. We would call each other often to pray about one matter or another and have our own “Hallelujah” moments. She Loved the Lord and trusted HIS WILL. 
The sweet memories of my dear friend Remell will now become a TREASURE  that I will embrace forever! 
 The last conversation  Remell and I had, she was reminding me to send her a copy of my first book,  “1% of GOD is ENOUGH”
which is under publication.  Remell,  I can’t  mail it personally to you now, but rest  assured  that  I “will” mail one in your name and honor  to your daughter Radonna! 
I will miss your earthly  presence my friend,  but will always carry you in my heart!!

Wow! Kind, compassionate, loyal... We were Facebook friends. Her posts were always informative, particularly those about G.W. Carver. Remell loved her family. She unabashedly posted the accomplishments of her children's successes. I found myself watching out to see the television appearances.
Remell's singing gift was used to the glory of God, particularly at White Stone Baptist Church.
