Raymond served in World War II in the Philippines. After his time in the military, he attended UT in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was a graduate of Memphis State. He worked for 35 years for Memphis Bank and Trust, which became First American Bank, where he was the head of accounting and audit departments. Raymond married Agnes Winningham (deceased 1987) and to Fay Maners Wise in 1990. He belonged to St. Lukes Methodist Church in Memphis for 68 years. He was a Mason, Shriner, and a member of White Station Lions Club.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Fay Weatherly; his two step sons, Jeff Wise and Tim Wise (Rachel); and his six grandchildren, Meredith Wise, Olivia Wise Thompson (Taylor), Parker Wise, Luke Wise, Anna Wise, Allison Wise.
Services for Raymond will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue in Memphis at 2:00PM. Visitation will begin at 1:00PM. The burial will take place on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Lake Hill Memory Garden in Bethel Springs, Tennessee at 3:00PM.
