Raymond R. Schwartz, 76, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Methodist Hospital—Germantown. Ray was born November 15, 1936 in Kenosha, WI. He and his family later lived in Chicago, IL; Forrest City, AR; Jackson TN; and for the last 30 years in Germantown, TN. He attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison and was a senior purchasing agent until his retirement from Hunter Fan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Jarchow Schwartz, his son Mark Schwartz, and his mother Mary Schwartz. He leaves behind two loving daughters, Rae Marie Richardson (Aodhan “Rick” Richardson), and Julie Richardson. He leaves one granddaughter, Victoria M. Veitenheimer. Ray was a life-long world traveler and leaves behind friends all over the United States, China, and several countries in Europe. Ray also leaves behind many dear friends at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Memphis, and at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Olive Branch, MS. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 11:00 AM, at St. Brigid Catholic Church, 7801 Lowrance Rd, Memphis, TN 38125. Visitation will begin at St. Brigid Church at 10:30 AM, and Food and Fellowship in celebration of Ray’s life will be shared at the church immediately following Mass. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Catholic Charities of West Tennessee, 1325 Jefferson Ave., Memphis, TN 38104, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
