Raymond A. Hopson

Raymond Alexander Hopson, 90, of Coldwater, MS, passed away Monday, August 25, 2014 at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford, MS. Mr. Hopson was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Catherine Hopson. He is survived by three daughters, Jo Ann Adcox of Olive Branch, Blindia Sue Caldwell of Coldwater, and Elizabeth Raye Norris of Olive Branch; one sister Inez Lowery of Merryville, IN; seven grandchildren, David Daniel, Susanne Keelin, Amy Cox, Mary Rogers, Jason Rogers, Nicholas Norris, and Keith Norris, and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Hopson served in the US Coast Guard during WWII, and retired from Bluff City Buick parts department. Mr. Hopson was a member of Berclair Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, and Captain of the Shriners Roadrunners unit. The family will receive friends this evening, August 27, 2014 from 5-8pm and a Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 10am all at Family Funeral Care. 4925 Summer Ave., Memphis.
