You have my condolences.  Aunt Phyllis was a fantastic mom to you and she  loved her family dearly. She wasn't just my Aunt but we were best friends, we would call each other every day several times even if it was a thought or advice or just for a laugh (which we had plenty of).  I truly will miss her, l know that she is  absent  in body but present in our heart always 💞

Good evening to the Family of the late Mrs. Phyllis Muriel (Holdipp) Jones:

 

                Vera and Leo (Peter) Mills and family in Bermuda extend our sincere and heartfelt condolences to Phyllis’ family on her recent death.

 

                Phyllis was a First cousin of mine as her father, Uncle Johnny, (Mr. John Holdipp, Sr.)  was the brother of my late mother, Mrs. Helen (Holdipp) Mills.

 

                We send to Phyllis’ family, there in Memphis and here in Bermuda, our deepest sympathy of the death of a beloved member of the Holdipp Family and a wonderful person and a dear cousin. We hope that the memories of good times shared in the past will be a tremendous source of comfort to the entire family as it mourns the loss of someone who was a bright light and such a sweet person in the lives of all  of us. May God grant you peace and comfort at this sad time.

I am thankful for the opportunity to share my memories of Phyllis. She and I are first cousins as her father Uncle Johnny and my mother were brother and sister. Their father came from Barbados so he was the first Holdipp in Bermuda. He married a Bermudian. 
Phyllis was always friendly to me. She left Bermuda many years ago.  In 2013 I was fortunate to be able to look her up. I stayed two nights with her. I traveled by bus from Nashville. 
I never expected to ever be in Mississippi but she took me there and to Arkansas.  I really appreciated her generosity and hospitality.

Gee & Brenda, Keith and Angie, Kenneth and Vanessa, your kids and grandbabies.  Know that we are thinking about you at this sad time, and sending you hugs and prayers of condolence on aunt Phyllis's passing.  You already know connections stretch across the miles.  It was always great to hear her voice and know she was surrounded by love and kindness.  Wishing you peace and comfort always.  Love you all, Only a phone call away.

You and your families were her proudest accomplishments along with her faith and love of God.  She leaves behind a legacy of family, motherhood, sisterhood and friendship that goes unmeasured.  We will always love and cherish our connection, she was our big sister and best friend.  Thank you for being everything that she knew you could and would be and for taking some amazing care of her always.  May God bless you all and your families and her grandbabies.
