Nicholas Anthony "Bud" Foley, age 84 of Bartlett, Tennessee, passed away October 10, 2019. He was preceded in death by his wife, June Foley and his sister, Marilyn. Survived by his brother, Bill and children, Lisa (Kevin), Vicki, Marilyn, Scott, Lori (Phillip); grandchildren, Curtis, Taylor (Bryan), Jake and great grandson, Jaxson.
He was born on September 9, 1935 to Margaret and William. Nick married the love of his life, June Henley in 1957 and they were married for 61 years. Born in St. Joseph, Missouri, he was extremely proud of his Italian heritage. Known to many for his kindness, wit and infectious smile, he never met a stranger and was loved by all. He will be remembered as a life long friend, devoted, loving husband and father.
Nick loved trout fishing at Heber Springs, Arkansas, cheering for his grandson during his baseball games, designing, building and sharing his birdhouses. He served in the Marine Corps for 20 years, stationed at many places across the world, and retired at the rank of Captain.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2019; followed by a catered reception provided for family and friends from 3:00p.m. until 5:00p.m.
at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like for donations to be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
