Nancy's passion for travel took her across the United States, where she captured countless moments through her photography. She meticulously documented each trip, ensuring every photo was dated and labeled, often accompanied by tickets and pamphlets in neatly organized envelopes.
Nancy had a deep love for the Memphis Zoo and the Pink Palace, visiting them at every opportunity. She was a regular at concerts, always securing floor seats to fully immerse herself in the experience. An avid reader, Nancy often donated books she had read, sometimes multiple times, to local libraries and charities.
Her organizational skills were unparalleled. Nancy preserved everything in its original packaging, from receipts to instruction manuals, and was known for her detailed lists, always checked off in the correct color ink. She was an "Excel Document" before Microsoft made their software.
Nancy's love for cats was evident in the many she adopted and spoiled throughout her life.
Above all, Nancy cherished her family and friends. She diligently tracked family trees, ensuring everyone was included in gatherings and kept in touch with those who couldn't attend. She remembered birthdays and holidays, sending thoughtful cards to loved ones. Her favorite holiday tradition was enjoying food from Dino's Grill in Midtown, a place where many cherished memories were made.
Nancy will be deeply missed by her family: her nephew, Robert Jason Tracy; great nephews, Byron Michael Tracy and Carter Lee Tracy; niece, Nicki Michelle Tracy; grandniece, Celia Marie Gentry; niece, Micki Danielle Tracy Foos and her husband, Jason Michael Foos; and her sister-in-law, Anita Webster Tracy.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Tracy; mother, Marie Cecilia Gosney Tracy; and her brother, John Michael Tracy.
A gathering of family and friends to honor Nancy's life will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, with a committal service at Forest Hill Midtown, 1661 Elvis Presley Blvd, Memphis, TN 38106.
Nancy's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
