Dell was born in Memphis to George and Faye Green on January 14, 1955. She attended Raleigh Egypt High School. She married Bobby “Junior” Russell on November 23, 1973 and James “Jim” Wallace on July 26, 2011. She was a fierce supporter of her children throughout school, dance, cheerleading, football, baseball, track, and all other aspects of their lives. She was a devoted Damaw, attending dance recitals, basketball games, soccer games, football games, concerts, pool parties, and everything else they did. She was a loyal friend to all blessed to call her so. She was a staunch advocate for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and those who no longer had a voice. Her faith, her grace, and her example went before her always. She cheered for the Memphis Tigers, the Brownsville Road Broncos, and the St. Benedict Eagles. She loved to travel, listen to blues in the Delta, have her toes in the sand, and be surrounded by her family wherever they were.
Dell was preceded in death by her parents, her brother George Green III “Trip,” and her husband of 21 years, Junior Russell. Dell is survived by her husband Jim Wallace of Bartlett; her daughter Tracy Culley (Bryan) of Bartlett; her son George “Wes” Russell (Tracey) of Lakeland; her son Bobby Russell III “Trey” of Bartlett; her granddaughters Sara Culley, Hannah Russell, and Brylee Russell; and her grandsons Andrew Culley, William Russell, and Bobby Russell IV “Dru.”
