Michael William Trippett

Michael William (Mike) Trippett, age 67 of Memphis, TN passed away unexpectedly on May 25, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Bobbie Trippett. Mike was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on September 9, 1954, and lived in Columbus, Ohio until he was 8 when his family relocated to Memphis, TN.

Mike graduated from Nicholas Blackwell High School (Bartlett) in 1972 and was a graduate of Memphis State University and was an active member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Shortly after graduating, Mike started the successful Nationwide Trippett Insurance Agency in Bartlett, TN. Mike was an avid sports fan and participant. Throughout the years, Mike coached basketball, baseball, softball, youth baseball and soccer. Shortly before retirement, Mike fulfilled his dream of owning a Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Like all of his adventures, he dove in full force and developed a new set of friendships from Memphis to Daytona to Panama City while riding with his buddies.

He is survived by his two sons, Chris Trippett and Matt Trippett of Memphis, TN, who he was proud of and loved very much; one grandson, Jackson Trippett of Memphis, TN; brothers, Jim (Janet) Trippett of Canton, GA and David (Sherry) Trippett of Bartlett, TN and sister, Kim (Kathy) Trippett of Memphis, TN. Mike was happy, generous and loved his family and friends. He had a larger-than-life spirit, wore a smile on his face and opened his arms and heart to everyone. A celebration of life for friends and family will be announced at a later date.
