Michael Lee Collins, 71, of Memphis, TN stepped into heaven on January 8, 2022 surrounded by his immediate family. He was preceded in death by his parents A.B. And Harriette L. Collins, his brother Buddy Collins Jr. and sister Angie Edwards. He was a graduate of Catholic High School and attended Memphis State University before proudly serving his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam war. He worked in sales before retirement. He loved to fish and was proud to teach others including his own grandchildren. He also enjoyed his time spent at Pickwick.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Ann Burnett Collins; daughter Melanie Perkins Knight and her husband David; and two grandchildren who he adored, Taylor and Avery Knight; siblings Virginia Duff, Barbara Coon, and Dick Collins; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation/celebration of life will be held on Thursday, January 13th, 2022, from 1pm to 3 pm at Crossroads Baptist Church, 125 Houston Levee, Eads, TN 38028
