Michael Louis Anderson

Mike was born on September 17, 1952, to the late Jackson and Edith Anderson (Palmer). He was raised in Memphis and graduated from Bartlett High School in 1972, where he started the very first extracurricular Ecology Club. He retired after 25 years from Buckeye. He found his career passion later in life doing federal security downtown and at the airport.

He loved the outdoors with his family and friends camping, fishing, hunting, riding ATV’s, ski boating, and other water sports, especially teaching his kids these skills. Mike’s hobbies included painting, drawing, and writing.

Mike is survived by his wife, Debbie Anderson. They were married almost 48 years. He is also survived by a son, Michael D. Anderson; a daughter, Amber Anderson; a brother, Richard Anderson; a sister, Sandra Dean-Anderson (Buddy); mother-in-law, Jimmie Sneed; sister-in-laws, Thresea Wright (Duane), Maria Mills (Jack); grandchildren, Layla Stevens, Silas Anderson, and Arden Anderson; and many nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his twin sons, John and Jack; his parents, Jackson and Edith Anderson (Palmer); his father-in-law, Yorel Sneed; and his sister-in-law, Carol Anderson.

Visitation from 9:00 am – 10:00 am, Saturday, June 24, 2023, with the service following at 10:00 am, at Wells Station Baptist Church - 1510 Wells Station Road - Memphis, TN 38108, where Bro. Danny Berryhill will officiate.

Burial will follow at 2:00 pm in the Mizpah Cemetery in Durant, MS. Pastor David Cain will officiate.
