Mary Elizabeth Nosko Stewart,77, of Germantown, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 21, 2024. Mary was born on April 13, 1947 in Ilwaco, Washington to the late Carl Joseph Nosko and Ruby Turner Nosko. Throughout her early life, Mary embraced her parents' frequent sense of adventure living in places like Oregon, Colorado, North Carolina, Iowa and many towns in Texas. Her family eventually settled in the North Dallas area where she attended Thomas Jefferson High School and the University of Texas at Arlington. Mary was a lover of aviation and travel, eventually obtaining a job with FedEx. This brought her to Memphis, TN in 1979. She held many positions within the company and finally settled in Crew Scheduling IOE until her retirement in 2022.
Mary was a lifelong lover of nature, always up for a game or new adventure. She had a smile that brought joy to others. A natural beauty inside and out, and forgiving grace for all. She will be fondly remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her decades long love of travel and the warmth she brought to every room she entered. Her legacy of love and cherished memories will continue to inspire those who knew her.
Mary is survived by her children, Alicia (Sean) Kelley, of Germantown, TN, and Chad (Kellie) Stewart of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Lillie Stewart of Dallas, TX, Cannon Kelley of Germantown, TN, Mackenzie (Spencer) Pack of Nashville, AR and Sean (Bethany) Kelley of Memphis,TN; sisters, Jan Alexander of Garland, TX and Susan Powers of Dallas, TX; brother, Walter (Sue) Nosko of Mesa, AZ; nieces, Erin (Jeff) Wyrick and Hannah Powers; nephews, Jace (Erin) Alexander, Todd Alexander, Jeremy Nosko, Tyler Nosko and Evan Nosko.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Reagan Grace Kelley.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Dallas, TX.
The family suggests any memorials in Mary's honor be made to the Dixon Gallery & Gardens, Memphis, TN.
