Mary Jane Estes Monroe, 93 of Memphis passed away on January 18, 2018, at Kirby Pines Retirement Community. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Monroe and her parents Wilbur W. and Jeanette V. Estes. She was a graduate of Memphis State University with a bachelor of science degree, and a retired navy nurse who held the rank of Commander. Mrs. Monroe attended Bellevue Baptist Church. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 23 at 1:00 P.M with services to follow at 2:00 P.M at Memphis Funeral Home on 5599 Poplar Avenue. Internment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
