Mary Alice Griffith

Mary Alice Griffith, 90, of Germantown passed away December 16, 2014. Mary Alice was a communicant of Church of the Holy Spirit and Saint Anne Catholic Church on Highland, former President of Our Lady of Grace Circle, founding Board Member of Ava Maria Guild / Ave Maria Nursing Home/ former President if Saint Johns Catholic School PTO/ volunteer crisis counselor at Birthright of Memphis /former Board member of Ladies of Charity Circle/ member of Holy Spirit Fun Club/ founding member of Carriage Court Chapel Project. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Hampton Mears Griffith, and son, Gary Griffith. She is survived by her children, Richard Griffith (Barbara), Marilyn Griffith Kastner (Gordon), Terry Griffith (Priscilla), Beth Griffith Turner (Larry), and daughter-in-law, Jo Griffith; eighteen grandchildren, thirty five great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 19, 2014 from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at The Church of the Holy Spirit, with a rosary service at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church o the Holy Spirit, with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her honor to Birthright of Memphis /Ladies of Charity of Memphis, or Carriage Court on Massey Chapel Fund.
