Martha Ann Short A Celebration of Life Service for Martha Ann Short, 78 of Germantown, will be held at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel, 5599 Popular Ave, Memphis, TN, Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5-7:00 p.m. Mrs. Short passed away suddenly from a heart attack at home. Mrs. Short was a member of Second Presbyterian Church. She was very active in the community serving in various capacities with the Germantown Charity Horse Show, Mid-South Fair, Subsidium, Women’s Exchange, the Heart Gala and other Memphis charities. Mrs. Short was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Short and parents, Robbie Todd and Benson “Buster” Arbuckle of Tillatoba, MS. She is survived by her companion for the past five years, James “Bill” Adams; nephew Frank Hudson (Louise) of Clinton, MS; niece Janie Womble, Batesville, MS; great nephew Wayne Hudson (Amber) of Marietta, GA; great niece Alicia Parkman (Tim) of Clinton, MS; two great-great nephews and two great-great nieces, Dayne and Kyle Hudson, Sydney and Marley Parkman.
